Developmental works undertaken with an outlay of ₹ 386 crore in Nandyal town will be completed by March end, Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana said on Friday.
Addressing a review meeting along with Collector S. Satyanarayana, Nandyal MLA Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy and officials at Nandyal, the Minister said 60 percent of road widening works were completed so far and 28 works were progressing briskly.
He told Roads and Building officials to build footpaths with multi-coloured tiles. He wanted completion of 23 km-long roads in rural areas by March end.
Directing housing officials to complete the remaining 50 percent housing works, Mr. Narayana wanted three blocks each in SRBC Colony and YSR Nagar completed by February 24 and kept ready for house warming. He told officials to paint the houses as per the choice of beneficiaries.
