NBCC (India) bags order to redevelop WHO building

NBCC (lndia), under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), has bagged an order of Rs 228 cr for redevelopment of the World Health Organisation (WHO)--SEARO building in New Delhi.

For the project, a tripartite memorandum of agreement was inked between Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), WHO-SEARO and NBCC (India).

NBCC (India) has been awarded the work as project management consultant (PMC) for construction and redevelopment of the building. It will be responsible for designing, construction and procurement of the project.

The WHO-SEARO office in New Delhi acts as the regional office for the organisation in South-East Asia and provides leadership on health matters, articulates evidence-based policy options, and provides technical support to countries in the region and monitors health trends.
