Asian Development Bank to fund Mango area revamp
Asian Development Bank (ADB) to fund Rs 520 crore for an integrated sewerage, drainage and road beautification plan to be implemented by Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC).
A detailed project report (DPR) of the Asian Development Bank funded integrated sewerage, drainage and road beautification project has been prepared jointly by Delhi Integrated Multi-modal Transit System (DIMTS) and Tata Consultancy Engineering (TCE) for the entire Mango area.
The project includes setting up three sewage treatment plants near MGM, Kapali and Baliguma and integrated pumping stations. As many as 17 roads, measuring 130km, would be strengthen and widened across Mango. Six parking bays near major roundabouts and traffic junctions would also be developed.
Work on the project is likely to begin by November and expcted to be completed in two years. The Telegraph reported today.
