Balaji Formulations Private Limited- Unit IV is proposed at Sy. No 208/35, 312/26 AA, Ramlingampally (V), Bommalaramaram (M), Yadadri (D), Telangana. The unit acquired 4.05 Acres of land. It is proposed to manufacture Bulk Drugs and Drug Intermediates to a tune of 400.3 TPM.

It is proposed to establish Zero liquid Discharge plant with adequate facilities for solvent handling and hazardous waste storage facilities. Total Cost of the proposed Project is Rs. 20.0 Crore; out of this an investment of Rs. 4.0 Crore is proposed to invest on environmental infrastructure. The land area of the plant is 4.05 Acres.

The site is surrounded by open lands in west, north and south directions and Balaji Formulations Unit-II in East direction. The nearest human settlement from the site is Ankireddipalli (V) located at distance of 0.73 Km from the site. Nearest water bodies are Ramalingampalli Tank- 0.97 Kms (SE), Keshavpur Cheruvu-1.83 Kms (SE), Yadagiripalli Tank – 4.18 Kms (SW).There are no ecologically sensitive areas like national parks, sanctuaries within 10 km radius of the site. There are 10 reserve forests in the study area and the nearest Reserve forest is Keshavpur RF-0.75 Kms (NW).

The unit currently has a total area of 4.05 Acres. Out of which 5408.57 Sq.Mtrs of green belt will be developed.

The additional impacts of air quality due to the proposed project are from the 2.5 TPH and 6.0 TPH coal fired boiler, DG Sets of 2 x 500, 1 x 350 KVA capacity. The impacts are quantified. The results indicate marginal increase in the ambient air quality parameters and the predicted concentrations are within the prescribed limits of CPCB for 24 hours concentrations.

A total of Rs. 400.0 lakhs is proposed for implementation of EMP during construction and operational phases of the project. A recurring expenditure of Rs. 85.0 lakhs /annum is earmarked for implementation cost of EMP including waste handling, disposal, environmental monitoring, green belt development, storm water management, CER activities etc.
