Bengaluru – Mysuru Highway to Turn Into a National Highway. PPPAC Committee (Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (India)) has cleared the proposal for conversion of Bengaluru – Mysuru highway into a national highway a few months back. INR 16.74 crores have been sanctioned for the maintenance and improvement of the existing road but the transformation into national highway will require INR 6,420.80 crores. A CCEA note has been submitted to the Finance Ministry for approval and bidding process has been initiated.

The project is expected to be completed within 30 months of allocation date.
