Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase 1 Gets Clearance. Earlier in the month of June the Public Investment Board has cleared phase 1 of Bharatmala Pariyojana, one of the most ambitious government infrastructure projects.

Under phase 1 24,800 km will be constructed and it will include: 9,000 km of Economic Corridors, 6,000 km of Inter-Corridor and Feeder Routes, 5,000 km of National Corridors Efficiency Programme, 2,000 km of Border & International Connectivity Roads, 2,000 km Coastal & Port Connectivity Roads, 800 km Expressways and 10,000 km Remaining National Highways under National Highways Development Projects (NHPD)
