BHEL Commissions 250 MW Thermal Power Unit in Bihar

State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on Friday said that it has successfully commissioned a 250 MW thermal power unit in Bihar.

“The unit has been commissioned at Baruni Extension thermal power project of Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd. The Barauni Extension power project has two units of 250 MW each. The other unit is also in advanced stages of execution and is expected to be commissioned shortly,” the company said in a BSE filing.

According to the company, the project was awarded to it on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis, including complete engineering, manufacturing and supply of equipment along with erection & commissioning and civil works of all the plant utilities.
