Cancer hospital to be set up in Bilaspur

The government of Chhattisgarh is developing a 100-bed state level cancer institute at Bilaspur. The project will be set up at an investment of Rs 120 crore.

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel performed bhoomi poojan for the project. The cancer institute will be equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment required for the cancer treatment and its construction would be completed in the coming year.

The institute to be constructed will have facility for 100 beds a 20 ICUs. An amount of Rs 34.19 crore have been approved for the cancer institute while a central share of Rs 51.84 crore has also been received. An amount of Rs 34.50 crore will be spent on the construction of the building while Rs 80.70 crore will be spent on the equipment.
