CIC Steels is planning to expand its sponge iron unit capacity from 0.66 lakh tpa to 4.62 lakh tpa in Bankura district of West Bengal.

The project will also see addition of iron ore beneficiation plant, pelletization plant, ferro alloy plant, induction furnace, electric arc furnace, rolling mill and captive power plant.

CIC Steels is awaiting environment clearance for the project. Contractor & machinery supplier have been finalised for the project.
