CM to lay stone for 75 MSMEs on Sept. 30.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation stone for 75 micro, small and medium industries at Veerapanenigudem of Krishna district on September 30.
Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRT) president Ravikumar Vemuru said that the companies would create around 2,600 new jobs in the area.
The companies include manufacturers of aerospace components, machinery spares, press tools, captive equipment, home appliances and engineering services. He said that APNRT was instrumental in bringing in the investors to Amaravati and also facilitating the new cluster for entrepreneurs.
The Amaravati Industries Association (AIA) companies, the first MSME cluster of its kind, would start the first phase of their operations within a year as the land had already been allotted by the APIIC, said Dr. Ravikumar.
The land at Veerapanenigudem was procured from the APIIC with active help from APNRT. In the first phase, land was allotted through a lottery system to 75 companies,” said APNRT CEO K. Sambasiva Rao.
Dr. Ravikumar said, “APNRT has been entrusted with the task of charting out a plan for creating a consortium of SMEs and developing a model industrial cluster for them.”
