Evonik Industries has commissioned a new plant for producing activated metal catalysts near Mumbai.

The Germany-based specialty chemicals maker has a diverse products portfolio in auto, pharmaceuticals, animal nutrition, paints and coating sectors.

Its new plant in Dombivli is expected to increase supply of high quality catalysts for Asia Pacific and enhance exports to South East Asian markets.

Evonik Industries' catalysts have a wide application in the manufacturing of various active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).
