Gandipally Gouravelli reservoir stone laid.

Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said that as much as 80,000 acres would be provided irrigation, after completion of the Gouravelli project.
Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone for the construction of Gandipally- Gouravelli reservoir works on Monday, Mr. Harish Rao said that the projects were a dream during the Congress rule, being realised during the reign of the present government.

�Congress had designed the project for only 1.4 tmcft while it was increased to 8.26 tmcft by our government to benefit more farmers. The flood flow canal would be transformed into a live canal and Godavari water would come from Kaleswaram to Gouravelli via Midmanair,� he said.

MP B. Vinod Kumar, MLA V. Satish Kumar, Collector P. Venkataram Reddy and others participated in the programme.
