ISKCON’s Golden Temple Phase-I to be Ready by Jan Next at Cost of Rs.100 Cr
The golden temple constructed by International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) at Changheeskhanpet near Kondaveedu in Guntur district is expected to complete its first phase by January next year at the cost of Rs100 crore..
So far, it has constructed 100 mandapams out of 108 mandapams in the temple premises. Mandapams are being constructed with pre-fabricated Rajasthan pink marbles to attract the visitors.
Thesis of Bhagavat Geeta will be explained with Sri Krishna idols which will be kept in the mandapams.
If first phase of the temple is construction is completed, it will attract more international and national tourists.
Sources in the ISKCON informed that a Vedic Expo with pictures will be set around the temple to explain reasons for good and bad in the life. It will be explained with robotics. ‘Bhagavatha Leelalu’ will be explained. Higher planetary system
(Swargam), lower planetary system (Narakam) and punishments in the human life for each sin will be explained through diagrams. Two to three 2D theatres will be constructed to explain morals to the youth. Significance of combined family system and need to protect ancient culture, will be explained.
The ISKCON will set up a Cow Research Centre to explain significance of cow to the people. Cow dung and cow urine are being used in 68 medicines. ISKCON South India president Satya Gopinath Das who is supervising ISKCON temple complex in Guntur district said,
