KIIFB sanctions ₹379 crore for cancer centre.
The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) has sanctioned ₹379.73 crore for setting up the proposed cancer hospital and research centre near the Government Medical College campus at Kalamassery.
The revised detailed project report (DPR) submitted by INKEL Ltd, the special purpose vehicle for setting up the centre, was scrutinised by KIIFB on various parameters.
According to the DPR, the centre will have the main income from OP and IP procedures and investigations and is expected to earn ₹19.73 crore at an occupancy rate of 90% in the inception year and going up to ₹22 crore in the following years.
Earlier, KIIFB had sanctioned ₹4 crore for landscaping as the meeting for approving fund sanction had been postponed.
The work is expected to start soon.
