Konkan Railway Corporation (KRCL) will be the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for preparing the DPR for the Anakkampoyil-Kalladi-Meppadi tunnel road project to be executed on turnkey basis and will complete the task within six months. KRCL will complete the DPR after topographical and geotechnical surveys and design of structures, and will include estimated cost of construction of tunnel, which will encompass providing a rigid pavement inside the tunnel, lighting, ventilation and allied works. Official sources informed that a tri-party agreement will be inked by KRCL, Kerala Government and the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board.
