KPR Sugar Mills is planning to expand sugar manufacturing unit capacity in Vijayapura district of Karnataka.

The capacity will be raised from 5,000 tccpd to 10,000 tccpd. The project also includes expansion of distillery manufacturing capacity.

The company has recently received environment clearance from the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Karnataka for the project.

Work on the project is expected to commence by August 2022.

Contractor and machinery supplier has also been finalised.
