Kusum Smelters Private Limited is a new company incorporated under the Companies Act 2013 to set up integrated sponge iron, induction melting based mini steel plant; Power Plant and Bio Ethanol Plant. The directors are having vast experience in real estate; Coal washery; industrial activity and trading field.

The proposal is for a Greenfield project for implementation of new manufacturing facilities for production of Sponge Iron, MS Billet, Steel Rerolled products, Ferro Alloys, Fly Ash products along with captive power generation plant comprising of Waste Heat Recovery Boilers (WHRB) and Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Combustion (AFBC) Boiler and Steam Turbine & Generator and a Grain Based Bio Ethanol Plant.

The Industrial unit will have two divisions in its complex firstly steel division and secondly Bio Ethanol Division the following facilities are proposed in Steel Division.

STEEL DIVISION:
 Two Nos. of 350 TPD DRI Kilns along with 16 MW WHRB boilers
 179550TPA.MS Billets production facility (15 MT X 4Nos. of Induction Furnaces along with CCMs and LRFs)
 174163 TPA Rerolled Steel production: out of which 131970 TPA Rerolled Steel products thru Hot Charging Facility and remaining 42194 TPA Rerolled Steel production through use of Billet Reheating Furnace long with coal gassifier.
 Ferro Alloys production facility with 4Nos Submerged Arc Furnace each of 9 MVA capacity each, to produce about 75000 TPA Ferro Alloys or 150000 tonnes Pig iron per annum.
 Coal based AFBC based Captive power plant of 12 MW Total captive power generation capacity will be 28 MW (16 MW WHRB + 12 MW AFBC).
 Fly Ash Bricks and other product manufacturing facility of 150000 TPA will also be implemented.

The company has simultaneously decided to set up Grain based Bio Ethanol Plant in the same campus on additional 8 hectare land area adjoining to the land on which Steel Divn is proposed.

Total Cost of Project 56,382.00 Lakhs Rs.
