Mahatma Agricos Agro Industries intends to set up a grain-based distillery unit for ethanol at Indapur Industrial Area, Loni Deokar in Pune district of Maharashtra.

The unit will have a capacity of 100 klpd. The project will also include a 3.5 MW co-generation power plant.

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has accorded environment clearance for the distillery unit.

Work on the project is expected to commence by October 2022. Presently, financial closure is underway for the grain-based distillery unit.
