Metnext is planning to set up sponge iron manufacturing unit with a capacity of 66,000 tpa in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh.

The project will see include steel melting shop, rolling mill, waste heat recovery-based power plant, FBC based power plant, fly ash brick plant and slag crushing unit.

Metnext is awaiting environment clearance for the project. Paperwork for the project is underway.
