NHPC Ltd has announced that it has issued a tender for the implementation of rooftop and small solar power plants of a total capacity of 582.16 kW in NHPC power stations and units at Chamera-I (155 kW), Chamera-II (230 kW), Parbati-II (125 kW), Parbati-III (72.16 kW) in Himachal Pradesh.

The brief scope of work for selected bidders will include the planning, design, construction and commissioning of the solar power plants along with the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the projects for a period of five years.

The time period for completion of the projects is 9 months from the date of notification of award.

The last date for bid submission is (May 20, 2019 – Online) May 22, 2019, and the technical bids will be opened on May 23, 2019. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 6.2 lakhs along with their bids.
The bidder should also have successful experience of O&M for a solar project of at least 200 kW capacity for at least one year during the preceding five years, as on the last date of the month prior to the bid submission date.

Additionally, the annual turnover of the bidder should be a minimum of Rs 8.5 crores in any one of the last three preceding financial years ending on March 31, 2018. The working capital should at least be around Rs 69 lakhs.
