Rural Development Minister Virender Kanwar today laid the foundation stone of a link road to Gehri Kothi village in Plahta panchayat of Bangana sub-division. A sum of Rs 9 crore will be spent on providing the road connectivity to a population of 750. The minister said in the coming two years, all villages of Kutlehar segment would be provided road connectivity. A sum of Rs 250 crore had been spent in the segment in the past one year, out of which Rs 100 crore was spent on roads and bridges. Kanwar said Rs 45 crore had been sanctioned by the Union Government for the Una-Bihru national highway, adding that a detailed project report for the construction of a major bridge over Gobind Sagar Lake to connect Mandli and Lathiani village had been prepared. An estimated Rs 110 crore would be spent on the project. Earlier, the minister inaugurated an employment fair at Thanakalan panchayat
