PM Modi to Inaugurate Road Projects in Rajasthan

ajasthan state have projects worth Rs 15,000 crore which are funded by the central government. Development work worth Rs 10,000-crore are being carried out by state government on its own. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Rajasthan in coming days to lay foundation stones of these project, inaugurate road projects in the tune of 25,000 crore, informed Public works minister Yunus Khan.

The suggestion to call PM has come from union minister for road, transport and highways Nitin Gadkari. Raje will go to Delhi and meet Modi to chalk out the plans further and give him formal invitations.

Projects that are expected to be inaugurated during the PM’s visit are those that were unveiled by Gakdari on December 13, 2014 incurring cost of Rs 4000 crore.

Khan said that major projects of which foundation stones will be laid by the PM, include Ring Road projects in Kota and Jodhpur and a formal event on Jaipur Ring Road project. Also, a hanging bridge in Kota will be dedicated to the people.

Road projects connecting Kota-Darrah, Pokhran-Jaisalmer, Jodhpur-Barmer are among the ones of which PM will lay foundation stone. Khan added the government will finalise the detailed project report on access controlled expressway between Jaipur and Delhi. The meeting is scheduled in Jaipur next week after which it will ascertain how much land Rajasthan and Haryana government will have to acquire.

Rajasthan government may also push for refinery and petro-chemical complex project to be unveiled by the PM, the government sources claimed.
