Sapphire Papers Mill is planning to raise paper unit capacity from 1,000 tpm to 4,500 tpm using recycled paper at Jagannathpur in Darjeeling district of West Bengal.

It also intends to expand sun-dry board manufacturing from 40 tpm to 100 tpm. Sapphire Papers Mill is awaiting environment clearance for the project.

Work on the project is expected to commence by September 2022.
