Shreesatya Sponge & Power is planning to expand sponge iron manufacturing unit capacity from 60,000 tpa to 1,90 000 tpa in Bardhaman district of West Bengal.

The project will also include new products -- manganese sinter plant, ferro alloy plant, jigging plant, chrome briquette plant and captive power plant.

Shreesatya Sponge & Power is awaiting environment clearance for the project.

Contractor and machinery supplier are yet to be finalised. Work on the project is expected to commence by July 2022.
