Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated two flyovers -- on Trichy Road and Kavundampalayam.

The National Highways wing of the State Highways Department started the construction of a flyover in 2019 with the Union Government allotting Rs 232 crore for the project.

The 3.15 km long flyover begins from the Stock Exchange building near Ramanathapuram and ends at Rainbow on Trichy road. The four-lane flyover has a width of 17.2 mtr with 119 spans.

Kavundampalayam flyover begins at Sanganoor Pallam and ends near SriVari apartment on Mettupalayam Road.

The construction work began on 7 March 2019. The length of the flyover is 1.2 km and 17.2 mtr width. The government allocated Rs 60 crore for the project.
