Tata Power Strategic Engg Division Bags New Order from Home Ministry
Tata Power Company Ltd, India’s largest integrated power company and part of the Tata Group, on Wednesday, announced that its Strategic Engineering Division (Tata Power SED) has received an order for a pilot project from Ministry of Home Affairs, for the supply of Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System (CIBMS) to Border Security Force (BSF).
“This order is an initial phase of the larger border management project of Ministry of Home Affairs to enable round the clock surveillance of Indian Borders and to ensure every inch of Area of Interest is kept under vigil by our forces,” Tata Power said in a statement.
According to the statement, the CIBMS being fielded by Tata Power SED will not only boost Centre’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, but also allow BSF to have in-country lifecycle support and upgrades.
“CIBMS will establish a multi-tier security ring at the border using a variety of sensors, to identify any infiltration attempts and will be operational 24x7x365,” it said.
Commenting on the order win, Rahul Chaudhary, CEO of Tata Power SED, said, “we are committed to create an indigenous solution meeting BSF’s contextual and operational requirements for Indian Integrated Border Management System.
