Tata Steel To Invest Rs 60,000 Crore For Expansion Of Kalinganagar And Bhusan Steel Plants:chandrasekharan
Tata Steel is planning to invest Rs 60,000 crore in Odisha for expansion of its Kalinga Nagar plant and the Bhushan Steel plant which the company has taken over recently.
Tata Sons Limited Chairman Natarajan chandrasekharan who met Chief minister Naveen Patnaik to discuss with him the various projects of the Tata group, later told newsmen that the company will invest Rs 25,000 crore in the expansion of its Kalinga Nagar Plant and Rs 35,000 crore in the expansion of the Bhushan Steel plant.
Mr Chandrasekharan described the meeting with the chief minister as a courtesy call and said he called on the chief minister for the first time after he took over as the Chairman of the Tata Sons Limited.The company, he said planned to expand the capacity of the kalinganagar plant from existing 6 MTPA to 8 MTPA.
