The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is all set to issue tenders for development of a world-class railway station at Chandigarh.
The nodal agency will issue the tender shortly and work is likely to begin by the end of July 2022.
The Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) are working to set up a separate office of the RLDA in Sector 17, from where work on the station will be monitored.
Work on development of world class facilities at Chandigarh Railway Station was handed over to Ambala division after the Ministry of Railways dissolved the Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation (IRSDC). Thereafter, the work was allotted to RLDA.
