Water Project In Punjab
The Indian Embassy in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku organised a special programme dedicated to the 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak, which was attended by SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal. Longowal said with the support of the local government and devotees, efforts would be made to build a gurdwara dedicated to Guru Nanak at Baku. He said embassy officials had assured to take up the matter with the officials concerned to pave the way for providing requisite land for the gurdwara
Fatehgarh Sahib: To ensure the supply of safe drinking water to residents of 92 villages of the district, a World Bank-funded canal-based drinking water project worth Rs 111.53 crore has been sanctioned and the work will start soon, said Jaspreet Singh, ADC while presiding over a meeting of officials here on Sunday. He said various other projects to solve problems related to the water supply in the district would also be launched soon
