Wild Valley Biodiversity Park Project In Gujarat

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) will be giving Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) 80 per cent grant for its Rs108 crore Wild Valley Biodiversity Park project

MoHUA had invited project proposals from 100 smart cities under public open space, sustainable mobility, urban e-governance and ICT and social and organizational innovation categories
SMC will develop an urban forest on 68 hectares of land in Althan and Bamroli area of the city under its Wild Valley Biodiversity Park project. Over six lakh small and big trees will be planted in the area which will also have a cycle track, water bodies, walking tracks and play area among other things. SMC will get Rs86 crore for the project whereas the remaining amount will be given by the state government, sources said
