Dilip Buildcon Shares Gain on New Rs 1470-Cr Order Win

Engineering firm Dilip Buildcon Ltd (DBL) announced that a joint centure of the company has been awarded a project order worth Rs 1470 crore by Northern Coalfields Ltd, Madhya Pradesh.

“The Northern Coalfields Limited (M.P), has declared the DBL-DECO (A Joint venture of the Company) as the successful bidder (L-1) for Excavation of Overburden of First Dig (Solid) & Re-handling by Mechanical Means at Specified Places at NIGAHI OCP of NCL at a Project Cost of Rs. 1469.84 Crores having Average lead 5.00 Km and Quantity (BCM) completion 132460000 (the Project)”, DBL said in a filing with the bourses.

Shares of DBL surged after the announcement came in. At 12.43 pm, the Rs 10 face value shares were trading at Rs 204.95, up 1.61% from the previous closing of Rs 201.70, on BSE.

Earlier in this month, the JV had bagged another project worth Rs 541.08 crore from Western Coalfield, Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Based in Bhopal, DBL’s core business is undertaking construction projects across India in the roads and irrigation sectors on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) basis. The company is present in 14 states including Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Karnataka among others.

The mid-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 117.14 crore and a market cap of Rs 2,803.10 crore.
