Kolkata-based GPT Infraprojects Ltd has bagged a Rs 84 crore road project in West Bengal. The contract, which has been awarded by the Office of the Superintending Engineer, PW (Roads) Directorate-Government of West Bengal, involves rehabilitation of landside location with slope protection and drainage improvement at Tindharia on NH-55 in Darjeeling district of the state in SBD mode.

The expected completion period for the project is 24 months.

GPT Infra is a flagship company of the GPT Group, a real estate investment trust which focuses on active ownership of Australian real estate in a portfolio that includes retail, office and logistics and business park assets. The company operates in sectors including infrastructure, civil construction, manufacturing, and healthcare.

Shares of GPT Infra were trading in red at Rs 225, down 2.17% from the previous closing of Rs 230, on BSE at 11.47 am today. The company has an equity capital of Rs 14.34 crore and a market capitalization of Rs 327.22 crore.
