IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company has secured a work order worth Rs 149.22 crore from Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam for rural electrification work in Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh.

The project is under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana.

The rural electrification work will be executed on turnkey basis and is to be completed in 12 months from the date of issue of the order.

The rural electrification project is funded by REC under the Eleventh Plan Programme.
